Bio
I was born in 1954 to David and Ethel Hale, the oldest of four siblings. I attended Jasper Primary School grades 1—5. I attended the sixth grade at the temporary McReynolds Gymnasium. I attended South Pittsburg High School grades 7—12 and graduated in 1973. While attending SPHS I lettered in basketball, football and track. I won several awards in football and I was also class treasurer and class secretary.
I earned a full athletic football scholarship to attend Vanderbilt University. I graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor's of Science in Health and Physical Education from the Peabody Education College.
In 1977 I started my professional teaching career at Oak Ridge High School. I have also taught at other High Schools including two stints here at South Pittsburg High School. Chattanooga High school, Dade County High School, Maplewood High School, and Northwest High round out my teaching career.
